Essential life-saving skills for everyone
The three-hour Basic Life Support & AED course gives you the practical skills and confidence to act quickly if someone collapses and is not breathing normally. It is taught to FAIB learning outcomes, with plenty of hands-on practice using manikins and AED trainers.
Learners practise assessing a scene safely, carrying out the Primary Survey (DR ABC), giving CPR, using an AED, placing a casualty in the recovery position and responding to a choking casualty.
The course is suitable for workplaces, clubs and community groups, and for anyone who wants to be ready to help in an emergency.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Full attendance is required and you’ll be assessed throughout the course. You’ll need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR.
